Karen Struel-White and Pascal Productions present,
'My Wife Fell in Love with a Life Size Cardboard Cut-Out of Ronan Keating'
by PT Rose.
SYNOPSIS: This play is about misplaced loyalty, the fallacy of shallow celebrity culture and the danger of delusion. It centres on 4 female characters all in the same family, daughter, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, it explores in a humorous but in-depth way, the change in cultural attitudes and people's ideas and ideals throughout the generations. Throw in a Clown for a husband and a sprinkling of Elvis with laughter and tears, as this dysfunctional family struggle to keep the family unit together in this sometimes ultra modern or as we call them, the 'SNOWFLAKE SOCIETY'...
Françoise commented: 'How on earth could you resist reading a script titled 'My Wife fell in Love with a Life Size Cardboard Cut-Out of Ronan Keating'. After just a few pages I was hooked. PT Rose has written an irreverent, funny, smart and very NOW tale. It takes pot shots at almost every topic and sacred cow - literally. I reached the part of a character called 'Pearl'. A silver surfer, Great Grandma, a biker, Elvis fan and wears a sparkly turban instead of a crash helmet - she has seen and done it all. I contacted Karen Struel-White offering my services as 'Pearl' ..and a desire to co-produce. The show opens on November 5th at the Drayton Arms Theatre, London. Be ready for fireworks.....'
